Settlement of disputes – mediation
The alternative settlement of disputes or a mediation has become part of legal culture today.
According to the Notaries Act, notaries are authorised to perform any alternative forms of dispute settling.
Mediation is a process in which a third-party neutral (mediator) neutrally assists in resolving a dispute between two or more parties. A successful mediation effort has an outcome that is accepted and owned by the parties themselves. Such solutions lead to a greater satisfaction as they allow faster and cost-effective conflict resolution.
It has been proven that the settlement arranged by the parties themselves leads to a greater tolerance and responsibility. A notary can, as a mediator and a person enjoying public confidence, facilitate the disputed parties to the efficient settlement of a particular case.
